Arizona Immigration Law: Is Obama Securing Votes vs Protecting Borders?

JDC Government Machinations:  Is President Obama adding fuel to the immigration bubbling discontent using a race-bait tactic?

If the federal government can put a soldier who doesn't complete a trip sheet for the use of a federal vehicle into jail as they did in the Korean War, why then, can't the administration follow laws on the books and process. . .jail. . .or deport immigrants who don't belong here?  Where is the public pro-safety agenda?

It's downright un-American.  What is American, is the second chance for illegals to become citizens; there are no short cuts.  Dr. Frank Luntz a national pollster states: "By allowing illegal immigrants to get away with crossing the border illegally, we have encouraged an entire culture whereby America's laws are optional--to be obeyed or disobeyed depending on what's convenient.  It's time to treat America's laws like laws--not guidelines. . ."

Is the President playing a deadly game of "gotcha" driven by a view, which comes across as a payback for future votes in the Latino community; a checkmate attempt to put Arizona's Governor Jan Brewer in her place?

President Obama has never said the Arizona law was unconstitutional.  No, however, he has fueled the fires of political power in stating the state's new law has the potential for profiling; so can just about anything else.

Critics cry out in fear, to which the Arizona legislature has responded by amending the Immigration law, which mirrors the federal, adding additional protection provisions against random profiling the federal does not.  Sadly, too many people do not know the substance behind the issue of the Arizona law, and are easily blinded as to what their opportunities are.  And many just don't care.

Washington is broken.  In recent statements to the press, John Morton the Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), appears willing to break federal law in not necessarily processing and deporting illegal immigrants, when notified by the State of Arizona.

By law, it is part of the president's job to: " . . . faithfully execute the office of the President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."  Why doesn't this president enforce the law?  Could it be he doesn't know how to successfully do the job, chooses not too, or is he displaying an arrogant anger that his presidential authority is challenged by not only Arizona, but twelve other states?

Of the 70% of Arizonians who agree with the recent law, 37% are Latinos.  Nationally, 83% of Americans support Governor Brewer's actions.  Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama recently stated: Obama, " . . . does not want the legal system to actually work."  ". . .if he can't enforce the law he should not have the job.."

As a sovereign state, Arizona is supreme in power and authority to govern without external control, and should be.  One would think, if the federal government refuses to enforce laws in a criminal or mass invasion of any proportion--the Arizona legislature would have the right to protect itself.

Between 2004 and 2007 updates, the Tucson sector Border Patrol union local 2544 in agreement with Senator John McCain estimates an increase of 10,000 total additional illegal immigrants are added to the United States population each day.

We the people of all ilks are not bigots, we are far from racists; as the White House would like Latinos to believe.  We do not wish to send the message through government actions. . .Just get yourself across the border and you're home free. 

When the media can broadcast tens of thousands of illegal immigrants walking-in-line, running across our border or scaling our protective walls still under construction, why can't President Obama and his government officials find them and send them back?

Country Western Singer Charlie Daniels expresses sentiments in his proud American down-home-way.  Where are you, you bunch of lily-livered, pantywaist, forked tongued sorry excuses for defenders of The Constitution?  Have you been drinking the water out of the Potomac again?  And even if you pass a bill on immigration it will probably be so pork-laden and watered down that it won't mean anything anyway.  Besides, what good is another law going to do when you won't enforce the ones on the books now?

Yes, it's all about political posturing and votes - votes - votes.  . . .And that's the way it is.

Joe Legal now has $9,631.00. Jose Illegal receives a $500.00 per month federal rent subsidy. Jose Illegal pays $500.00 per month, or $6,000.00 per year. Jose Illegal Still has $ 31,200.00. Joe Legal pays $200.00 per month, or $2,400.00 for insurance. Joe Legal Now has $7,231.00. Jose Illegal says, "We don't need no stinkin' insurance!" and still has $31,200.00. POWER HUNGRY by: Robert Bryce

Bryce takes the reader into the world of "green energy" and why the U.S. can't afford to give up hydrocarbons any time soon.
